EDUCATION

EducationThe Dikome Balue municipality has institutions of education from primary to high school level. Although the institutions were created by government decrees, the national government has and does not provide the assets (teachers, supporting structures such as sanitation, a library, science laboratories, internet or computing services) required for an excellent education in today’s global economy.

International institutions that measure countries’ level of education put the Cameroon government’s investment in education at just 3% of GDP, thus the 75% literacy rate achieved by the population ranking it 133rd in global rankings can be attributed mainly to support received from individuals and development organizations.

DIDECO International’s Education Committee leads all initiatives to identify projects aimed at addressing these issues and making the Dikome Balue municipality a center of educational excellence.
